Colin Jackson

Wildlife conservation benefiting Kenya's coastal poorNational Director

(also a Research Associate, National Museums of Kenya)

Colin was born in Eldoret in the north-west of Kenya. He started A Rocha Kenya in 1999 having worked for 3½ years in Portugal (1989-2003). Colin, whilst most at home as a birder and bird ringer, also provides vision and direction for the overall conservation work of ARK, leading the team in its various projects and research. Currently, Colin is working on his PhD, studying three species of migrant waders. He is also involved in bird conservation at a national level, in particular the Kenya Bird Map.
