I graduated from Pwani University with a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and Fisheries.
I joined A Rocha Kenya in November 2021 under the Environmental Education department. My first posting when I joined A Rocha Kenya was in Dakatcha and the place was quite remote. Thinking back, I thought this was not the place. However, after several visits to schools that I worked with, I heard positive feedback from the teachers about how my visits brought so much change, not just, from how they viewed their environment but also because I was able to motivate students to aim for more and not give up in their education.
This response affirmed me and from there then I knew this was what I wanted to do. I am passionate about terrestrial and Marine environment as they are intertwined. I believe enough damage has already been done to the environment and therefore i hope to help find solutions and restoration in whatever way i can.
During my free time i enjoy l swimming, travelling and reading.
