Joining ARK Team is one huge blessing that God in His own divine wisdom granted me. I joined ARK  on 15^th  September 2023 as a missionary apprentice from a Christian Organization called, I serve Africa that recruits and train young people who have deeper calling to serve for one year in the Graduate Apprentice program (GAP) and as a result A Rocha Kenya which is also a Christian organization dealing with conservation and protection of threatened habitats became my placement and my roles were all about communications and social media.

Being a Christian I never took a keen glimpse into creation care as one major commission from God. To answer my many questions on what the organization is all about and what they actually meant by Christianity and conservation I bumped into a book “kingfisher’s fire by Peter Harris “ and from this book I have developed deeper convictions on creation care and how God has made us stewards. Now I know that every living thing around us is part of a song, part of a bigger symphony of worship given to us to know and care for.

I love music and during my free time I enjoy singing. I love children and their many stories and ways of thinking fascinates me greatly and here at Mwamba we have Sunday school session every Sunday which has been a huge blessing, I am learning a lot about how the gospel is for everyone including the kids and how to point them to Christ is vital has been a wonderful and growth-oriented path to tread upon. I move around a lot. I love interacting with new people in a new environment and get new perspective on things that’s why I love tagging along during the field trips.

A Rocha is a safe space , my growth in ministry has taken an overturned outlook as far as conservation is concerned and truly creation care is also ministry and I am convinced that when my internship period will come to an end I would have learnt a lot not only on my line of duty in the communications department but also as a person and the call to creation care. For this I thank God so much.
